Carlisle Energy Services has contracted with Solyndra, Inc. to deliver photovoltaic systems for commercial rooftop installation with Carlisle's Energy Star®-certified cool-roof systems. When installed on a reflective white thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane, the output of Solyndra photovoltaic (PV) systems increases up to 20 percent due to the increased collection of reflected and diffuse light. The air flow through the PV panels allow the roof to remain cooler that with other PV systems. The lightweight, non-penetrating PV system eliminates the negative impacts on roof life and performace associated with heavier, ballasted PV systems, and allows easy removal for roof maintenance or redeployment. The Gaia kitchen line from Bazzèo is made completely from recycled and recyclable materials. Two options are available for door and drawer fronts and paneling: reconstituted oak veneer over a compressed laminate core, finished with a nontoxic water-based stain, or frosted glass mounted on an aluminum frame. Cabinet boxes are made from particleboard with 100-percent recycled and recovered wood fiber, glued with formaldehyde-free resin. The company recycles or reuses its manufacturing waste and cuttings. Wovin Wall from 3form is a modular wall system that consists of small panels mounted on a lightweight metal grid. The removable panels are clipped in alternating directions to create the distinctive three-dimensional woven pattern. They come in two shapes and a variety of standard finishes, such as 3form Pure Colors™, wood veneer, polyresin, laminate, and anodized aluminum. Custom materials are also available. The grid can be fixed to almost any wall or ceiling surface, and the wall can be extended in any direction. Easy to assemble and install. Wovin Wall won a 2008 "Best of Year Award" in the architectural product category from Interior Design magazine. |

Valli & Valli introduces the ZH Duemilacinque door lever designed by architect Zaha Hadid with Woody Yao. Part of the flagship Fusital collection, the door handle is characterized by an angular downward crimp with an irregular rose, capturing the dynamism of Hadid's architecture. Made of cold Nikrall alloy, the door lever is available in chrome or satin chrome finish. It recently won the Grandesign Etico International Award 2008. The Fusital hardware collection also includes series designed by Frank Gehry, Richard Meier, and Michael Graves, among others. |

Yellow Mountain StoneWorks offers stone from seven different Chinese provinces for high-end architectural, landscape, interior design, and public art applications. In addition to newly quarried stone, this Seattle-based company sources antique reclaimed granite originally installed during the Qing and Ming Dynasties. Stone is delivered gauged and finished to project specifications, reducing onsite fabrication and installation costs. Finishes range from standard machine-polished and honed surfaces to hand-tooled specialty textures. Granite, limestone, sandstone, slate, marble, travertine, and quartzite are available. Featured is the Rusty Manchu Caviar Limestone, suitable for countertops, wall caps, stair treads, molding, veneer, and paving. |
