    Making Windows Blast-Resistant

CINTEC America offers a structural masonry reinforcement system that provides blast protection and seismic support to window installations. Customized CINTEC Blast Window Retention Anchor Systems are designed for each project based on structural inspection and analysis of the loadings and reactions that take place where the window frame meets the supporting facade. On site, a steel bar in a mesh fabric sleeve is inserted into the masonry and then connected to the frames. To complete the anchor, cementitious grout is injected under pressure, fusing with the mesh and expanding around the bar to fill the space. This process can also be used to retrofit, strengthen, repair, or preserve masonry, and is also applicable to underwater projects such as bridges, dams, and harbor walls.

    "Pasta" from Sina Pearson Textiles

Sina Pearson, a contemporary textile designer and manufacturer based in Manhattan's Soho district, is now premiering "Pasta," her lastest line of upholstery fabrics. Two complementary patterns, "Linguine" and "Tagliatelle," feature bold color contrasts and rhythmic compositions inspired by the noodles themselves. Each offers 11 colorways that take their names from pasta sauces. Available nationwide through design professionals, the durable Pasta line is intended for any residential, hospitality, corporate, and commercial spaces where strong color and graphic patterns are sought. The fabric incorporates Crypton® technologies, making it resistant to water, stains, germs, mildew, and abrasions — great for high-traffic locations.

    Tri-Mount Kitchen Sink

Mila International has introduced a new line of kitchen sinks featuring Mila's tri-mount installation system (patent pending). These sinks are designed to be installed in any of three ways: the traditional drop-in and under-mount, and now the flush-mounted sink, where the sink rim and the edge of the countertop rest level against each other. This seamless transition is aesthetically pleasing and also provides a more hygienic installation, since there is no space for bacteria, food particles, or debris to collect. Every Mila sink is crafted from 16-gauge, type 304 stainless steel. For more information and to download their product catalog, visit the Mila web site:
